Piomboni Camping Village has been awarded Green Tourism certification, the world's most credible environmental and tourism quality label!

Here at Piomboni Camping Village, we are aware of the significant impact tourism has on the environment and recognize our responsibility to manage and reduce our environmental footprint without compromising the quality of our guests’ stay.

With Green Tourism Italy, we have therefore embarked on a concrete path that will lead us to:

  1. Identify and monitor the most significant environmental impacts of our activities;
  2. Set concrete objectives to reduce these impacts and plan the necessary actions;
  3. Comply with the relevant regulations;
  4. Prevent pollution and reduce consumption of utilities and resources. We will also seek to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other waste materials, including solid waste, and recycle where possible;
  5. Ensure that our environmental commitment is communicated to everyone who works at our campsite/village, from staff to suppliers, and that guests are also informed accordingly;
  6. Develop a responsible approach to food, using local, seasonal, organic, etc. produce as far as possible.
  7. Work with the authorities and the local community to promote respect and appreciation for the environment and the local area;
  8. Strive to constantly improve our practices;
  9. Take environmental objectives into account when planning all our future investments (renovations, new customer offerings, innovations).

What we have done and are doing:

  1. We have installed a new group of toilets with a natural gas boiler, reducing fuel consumption in other systems and minimizing environmental impact.
  2. We have modified the electrical system in some areas of the campsite to “three-phase” for significant energy savings.
  3. As we do every year, we have planted several dozen trees.
  4. We have created our own herb garden.
  5. We are collecting used clothing for the non-profit organization “C.A.B.I.”, a shelter for vulnerable children in Brazil. Your contribution goes here.
  6. We have set up a green notice board to visit GREEN places in the area.
  7. We promote local products and recipes.
  8. To visit the surrounding area and Ravenna, we always encourage the use of public transport, buses, trains, and shuttles.
  9. We have installed flow reducers on all taps on the campsite.
  10. Our goal is to keep our environmental impact low in our future installations and renovations wherever possible (use of electric vehicles, water and electricity saving, etc.).
